First up is Senior Consultant, Lianne Brook, based in our Birmingham office:
Tell us what you do at PJA
I am a Transport Planner, predominantly working within the development sector. I’ve recently got more involved with cycle infrastructure design and enjoy building active travel into development schemes.
What’s your career path so far?
I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 with a geography degree and took my graduate job in London before moving up to Birmingham in 2017.
What do you enjoy when you’re not working?
I am a competitive powerlifter and spend most of my spare time in the gym! I can squat 147.5 kg (over two times my bodyweight), bench 80kg and deadlift 175kg.
Are you a dog or cat person?
Dog! We recently picked up Haru, our Miniature Schnauzer. She certainly keeps us on our toes.
What are you currently reading or listening to?
Currently reading a puppy training guide book, although not sure if it’s helping much….
Claim to fame?
I met the England cricket team in Australia after the ashes.

Lianne is a Transport Planner with over 7 years’ experience in a range of technical work from both the public and the private sector. Lianne has developed a key focus in strategic development and built a specialism in assisting clients with land promotion by undertaking feasibility studies and delivering access strategies for strategic sites.
